A team from Bishop Dunstan Nsubuga Memorial SSS, Kalangala, represented Uganda in the MTN PachiPanda Challenge 2025 Finale in South Africa. They're the only secondary school team to qualify and won 5 million shillings plus a trip to SA. Their project, "Bottle For Cash Eco Drop" (BFC Eco Drop), collects plastics from the community, rewards citizens, and aims to integrate with MTN's API for real-time mobile money transfers. They won the Growth Award, celebrating their potential to grow and scale impact.
